Week 2 Day 2: Can you do it?

When you think about doing God’s will, you may feel helpless. You may think that only a pastor or someone who studies the Bible and prays around the clock can be enough in tune with God to detect His will under the Holy Spirit’s leading. But the scriptures say that God provides you exactly what you need to achieve His will.

“My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

“We know that is all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

You might read these verses and think that if all your needs are supplied, you can make it without God. But doing God’s will on your own is impossible. Only God has the capacity to do exactly what He intends. Doing God’s will involves a process in which God uses the provisions He has given you to accomplish His work.

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in your will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

“The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Daily Thoughts: What did you get from today’s study?

What good work do you think Christ has begun in you?

How can you see that He is being faithful to complete this good work in you?
